    1. 1)I have learned new things after reading this article. I was never aware of how they controlled black people and performed painful experiments. It is upsetting how they have been treated terribly in so many different ways. 2) As i read further into this i learned that the university of Virginia hired people do dig up the bodies from a black cemetery, I did not know that racist, people in general could do such messed up sickening acts. 3) In 1932 they tricked people into taking a role in a study that would later kill them without giving any type of warning. I find this more then just racism this is something that a mentally unstable person would do to another human. I am extremely confused to how all this happened without serious consequences.

    1. I feel like this is a very complicated situation, if he was blackout then he probably doesn't even remember her name so even if he did want to notify authority he really couldn't. I also think since she woke up and got dressed, not hungover could've meant she was sober or had very little to drink anything while assaulting him.

    1. I find this article very interesting, because I think everyone assumes men are rarely victims of sexual assault and the fact that it’s 38 percent that is known, As mentioned definitely surprises a lot of people. I like that they began a investigation, research on sexual victims being “perpetrated by women” because that will uncover many cases and show that the assumptions people make of men being the ones to assault almost all the time. for women prisoners and girls in detention, staff perpetrators are overwhelmingly male, and for men and boys the staff perpetrators are overwhelmingly female.” This is crazy to think that it’s this common for opposite genders to assault in prisons and in other places, especially the staff, this makes me think there are a lot more cases on women sexually assaulting men and just more sexual cases in general for both genders.

    1. i believe it is important to teach kids social skills early on but i don't think consent is something they will understand until they are older. In the reading it talks about understanding your own feelings and the feeling of others which is smart to teach at a young age. In the reading it mentions in elementary school teaching consent. I understand why they want to make the kids aware but i think that is too early to talk about consent. Later in the reading it starts to talk about middle school and consent. I think that is the best time to teach and make kids' aware of how consent works. The reason i say that it is the best time is because that is when people start to perform sexual acts and also hit puberty so it can be a confusing time with emotions and much more.

    1. 1-I find it really weird but interesting to how consent works with BDSM, as the article mentions safe words, contracts etc., that is a whole other type of consent in my opinion. 2- I find it odd that the only way Christian wants it is if she signs the contract instead of allowing her to give consent as things go on. 3- I curious to know if within BDSM, is there such thing as abuse or sexual assault at any point.

    1. 1- I think sexting is a dangerous thing to do especially in today's world, not just with teens but even with adults. 2- I find it pretty odd that they have online advice for sexting, i think it is something that shouldn't be done if you need advice. 3- In the article it talks about consent within sex and sexting advice and i feel as though that is where it gets tricky because over text you can't tell how someone is feeling exactly.

    1. Positions of authority dates back thousands of years based on ego, power and gender. Often the subordinate was gaining something that they need, want or lacking. Today, there is still superiority that is not equal and sex can be negotiated for wants. I agree, yes means yes and should be a sex positive experience and of equal consent of both parties. It also takes away the thought that sex is wrong or shouldn't be enjoyed. No means no, means i understand and i respect you. The benefit of doubt is also part of labeling people by their status, race, gender, clothing etc. There is superiority and judgment cast upon individuals just as African American men were committed of rape even in innocents and white upper classman could go free for rape blaming the female for being seductive..
