    1. Take time. It’s often worthwhile to go more slowly as you read a selection, read longer, stare quietly.

      this is definitely an aspect I struggle with when im reading. Sometimes I end to just get in the mindset to finish this book, but it’s so much more enjoyable when you take the time to truly rest and what you are reading. It’s quite a special skill.

      I love this a lot encase creative reading just allows you to escape your world and go to a place where no one knows you. Which is why I personally love to travel and I love that the author is making that comparison.

      I like this idea because sometimes i just get so used to reading/writing the things that I like and then i ten o get bored with it. So remembering this is a really good resource to bring doubt of you’ll and allow me to be more creative

    1. seem to write in spurts. There will be weeks where I don’t write anything beyond little iPhone notes, fragments

      This is exactly how I seem to write, while i wish as well that i was one of those people with a strict routine I can never seem to have constant ideas flowing it just happens randomly and I have to write it down or ill lose it.

    2. but it’s all music. It’s all creative writing. It all takes hard work, patience, practice, and love.

      I love this, as someone who writes poetry more than anything else I think it’s important to recognize it is just as important as other writing forms and still takes a lot of emotion and hard work.

    3. Procrastination is fear of success. People procrastinate because they are afraid of the success that they know will result if they move ahead now. Because success is heavy, carries a responsibility with it, it is much easier to procrastinate and live on the “someday I’ll” philosophy

      While I do agree with this quote I also believe it to not be the whole truth. I feel like people will procrastinate no matter what. Maybe that’s out of laziness or business it’ll happen anyway. Not just because we’re scared of that success

    4. Weaker writers and storytellers don’t know yet how to transport themselves back into the moment.

      This is a aspect I really strive to work on when it comes to my writing because I feel like after a while I’m just making the story too tailored towards my life and it doesn’t feel like a different story at that point.

    5. In creative writing, in literature, we read in order to have an experience, to actually feel what it is like to be in another world, another body, another soul, another point of view.

      This right here is why I love to read and write so much. Because it lets you escape the world around you.
