Yes I agree that skills come from repetition. In order to repeat/practice a specific skill, you need time. The problem is that some people don't use their time wisely, so it defeats the whole purpose of credit hour.
It is not only that Du Bois was black and other sociologists were white, or that Du Bois suffered from lack of capital, it is also that he had dangerous ideas.
This stood out to me because the people seem to be afraid of his intelligence rather than his race. He has proven how powerful he is mentally through his ideas.
