    1. You are invited to a journey of whole-life stewardship in response to God’s amazing generosity in your life

This has become more and more meaningful to me as I'm getting older. I've always wondered why God has been so generous to me, I feel more blessed than I ever deserved.

    2. How might this image of heaven bring comfort to the Christians with whom John shared his vision? How might it bring comfort to us today?

I don't know the book of Revelation very well, so I don't know the context, the intent for the audience John was writing to. Much of the focus of the Gospel writings is on the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. I don't know of any other reference in the New Testament that gives an image of when Jesus was in the "throne room" after his resurrection. All those uncountable creatures celebrating the successful completion of Jesus' task.

    1. How should the challenge to be “Community of Christ” change us?

I think it should push us to move away from our intractable positions, to open up our minds to other perspectives. I've begun to learn (too late in life!) that I'm not always right.

    2. How would you explain Community of Christ to someone who has never heard of it?

I tell people we are a loving, progressive church that avoids being judgmental. All are welcome, regardless of faith tradition, life circumstances.

    3. How has your sense of identity been shaped because of your name?

I have done research into both of my parent's family backgrounds. I value these family names because of where they fit in church history and our country's history.

    4. How do you understand Unity in Diversity?

We are all blessed and better off as a community if we celebrate and support the different life experiences that people bring.

    5. What would you include in the introduction of a letter to a person, family, or group?

First, I think it's sad to think that many of us don't write letters anymore. I recently wrote a long letter to my father, and in the first paragraph I recounted a memorable fishing trip. Basically, I highlighted a time we spent together that was special for me. Just like in this scripture, I started my letter with a remembrance of time spent together.
