    1. Ukraine’s glory has not yet died, nor her freedom’.

      I believe this change is surprising because glory and freedom of a country may die but a people and the country itself may not, so to take that part out takes out a big part in reinforcing a countries strength.

      After all these years it's troubling that they have yet to change from brother Ukrainians. Especially since it's not just men fighting in the war it's women as well, laying down their lives. Perhaps by the end of the war the anthem may change.

    3. Our enemies will die, as the dew does in the sunshine

      I haven't heard many metaphors used in anthems, perhaps that's because I really only know the United States' national anthem. Also to mention bloodshed in a national anthem seems aggressive and may incite violence.
