Everyone has different theories about various facets of life. Especially living with roommates, I've seen how differently people see the world. For example, I think it's polite to wear earbuds when in a public space, but others see no problem with it. I grew up being told never to invite myself to anything, but others assume anyone who wants to join will do so. These small differences in theory have the potential to cause major miscommunications.
