    1. “Fake news” was actual false news: stories that were blatantly made up, written and shared by people in the US who were economically or politically motivated.

False News stories have been around for years misleading the masses and have been motivated by economical or political gain. Its sad knowing the two most important factors for the masses to trust our government are easily manipulated.

    2. We started having congressional hearings about how algorithms are changing society. And we’ve talked often about filter bubbles on Google, conversational health metrics on Twitter, radicalization on YouTube, and “coordinated inauthentic

As I finish my time at Arizona State and the media literacy I have gained throughout the years and the knowledge I have passed to family and friends its nice to know misinformation is being addressed in congressional hearings and has cuaght their attention. Knowing that congress is taking their own action on top of the masses starting to become aware of the spread of misinformation it feels like we are on the right path to eliminating misinformation.

    1. Wellness products make up the majority of MLM products, and, as the Federal Trade Commission noted, some direct sellers took advantage of a rush toward so-called natural remedies during the pandemic to boost sales.

The image of maintaining a health livestyle has been glamorized more than ever. With direct sellers taking advantage of the rush toward natural remedies just to boost their sales during a pandemic really makes me question our well being as the so called "consumer's" we are in the eyes of our nation. It's clear they do not care about our well being all they care about is the money at the end of the day. So why should we trust our government or the business'es that are in place to have our interest at heart?

    2. Another user posted a photo of a baby sitting in a bathtub of water colored a deep caramel. In the caption, she shared that the baby had contracted hand, foot and mouth disease — a virus that mainly affects children and causes painful sores. “Tiny is enjoying his Boo bath!” she wrote. “We’re happy to say our bottom feels happier and we’re in a better mood!”

Its scary to think that this isnt so uncommon in today's age. Companies have the ability to flag out the negative reviews and only promote the positive reviews. Not only should we look into the reviews but part of our research should look into side effects of the products in hopes to find the truth.
