This reminds me of the verse Ecclesiastes 3:1-15, which states how God sets the time for everything that happens in the world. I assume Pilate's wife would also relate to that sentiment because she didn't block humanity's redemption.

I am getting the idea that Phoebe represents much more than a girl but a goddess. The color white is heavily associated with her sexual nature because it tells the reader that she is pure and innocent. I also believe that Phoebe is fighting against societal pressures in life because it is very common for dignified women to remain humble in uncomfortable situations.
