Iceland’s Ministry of Education estimates about 1 billion Icelandic krona, or $8.8 million, is needed for seed funding for an open-access database to help tech developers adapt Icelandic as a language option.
I may not fully understand the development business when it comes to technology companies. However I find it unfair that Iceland should fund having their language be an option on these devices. Inclusivity should be a priority of the companies selling these products.
