    1. Sometimes, the issues are more complex than word choice. It’s also about process.

      Another powerful line! Vocabulary and diction are just one of many parts that enable the machine to work. Without purpose and depth within the words, we choose the words to mean nothing. Processes create results.

      I really enjoy this line! Ever since I read Potiki where this concept of spiral time was first introduced to me, I read all indigenous stories with the perspective of a nonlinear timeline. Circular time is crucial to understand 'ike kupuna, to move forward you must be able to return to the past!
