    1. Sonographers cannot perform their job without ultrasound units or transducers/probes. The ultrasound unit often includes a console with the controls to optimize images, a keyboard/touch screen, and a monitor for viewing the anatomy being scanned.

The equipment needed for the job sounds sophisticated and a little complicated. I'm guessing the time during the clinicals would be to learn how to use them efficiently.

    2. Adequate research and planning into career options as well as institution of higher education can help you minimize the cost of your education.

I think it sucks how majority of the citizens who are in college or have went to college are in debt. I don't want to be apart of the 54% who have a lot of debt. I take a financial literacy class and I hope we learn how to avoid that in the future.

    3. There are many different reasons a physician may order an ultrasound to be performed by a sonographer!

Like I said before I like how A sonographer can be needed for different things. I feel like getting into this field of work will have many opportunities open to me.

    4. Now that you know you want to be a sonographer and where you may like to learn the skills to become one, you must complete the necessary prerequisite coursework to apply to a program

Not entirely sure what a prerequisite is is but i'm guessing it's a program. I wonder how many I would have to complete in order to be a OB sonograpgher. it says there could take up a year and a half but I wonder if it can be shorter.

    5. Many prospective sonography students are attracted to the idea of working in an OB/GYN office. However, there are many diverse opportunities for work environments in the OB/GYN specialty

I like how there isn't just one place that sonograpghy students would have to work. It's nice to know that there can be variety in the places I could work. Being able to have different areas to do this job can be beneficial and give me the chance to learn new things in different areas.

    6. Sonographers must undergo formal education and training to gain foundational knowledge and skills to practice as an ultrasound technologist. Typically, a two-year (associates) or four-year degree (bachelor’s) is completed at an institution of higher education such as a community college or university.

I could be wrong, but I like how I would only need two years of college studying sonography because its more realistic for me. Personally I usually have a hard time in school so it nice to see that i wouldn't so many years on top of years to go into a career i'm really interested in.

    7. All sonographers must possess the ability to perform a highly technical skill with a compassionate delivery. Being an obstetric patient can be a happy and exciting time in a mother’s life, but it can come with worrisome and sad moments.

I feel like being an OB sonographer can be an awkward and sad job at times because sometime the parents could be unhappy about anything dealing with the child. i would like to think that its mostly joy being shared but so many thing could go wrong sadly.

    8. These highly skilled healthcare professionals have the responsibility of obtaining images for physicians to monitor a baby during development. Sonographers are often the first to see many of the exciting moments in a pregnancy—the heartbeat, movement, twins, the sex of the baby, etc.

Like I said previously the OB sonographer plays a huge role in tracking the baby's development and answer any questions parents might have. Sometimes doing this job won't be as a joyful as you would expect but overall I think the ultrasound technician and the parents share a common joyful feeling when finding things out.

    9. Sonographers (another term for ultrasound technologist) have the unique experience of playing a role in a mother’s pregnancy.

I believe that the ultrasound technicians play a huge role in a pregnant woman's life besides her obstetrician. They would determine the gender, and answer most questions the woman would have about her baby. They share pictures of the baby and explain what is what.

    10. When people think of ultrasound, oftentimes obstetric ultrasound is the first thing to come to mind.

By far the most common kind of ultrasound. This is significant because this is a job that won't ever really go out of business because there will always be pregnant women. There are many other fields that you can have sonograpghy in but being a obstetric sonographer would be the most common.

    1. “You need to understand other people — what they want, what they don’t want, their fears, hopes, dreams, and motivations,” she says. “This builds trust. And trust is fundamental to getting things done.”
