    1. Lab activity worksheets. Lab activities that will be completed in small groups during lab time and handed in at the end of class.   Each lab worksheet is worth 3% of your grade.

I am most interested in learning in lab activities/discussions because of the different perspectives I can gain through talking to other people in the class. I would like to learn with people in discussions rather than alone readings for sure.

    2. How will you be graded for class?

I will keep myself accountable for completing assignments on time by checking with my friends in the class, reguarly checking my canvas calender (and perhaps entering due dates onto my own specific apple calendar) along with my canvas announcements.

    1. "Generative artificial intelligence" is a type of AI algorithm that is trained on an existing set of information (which can include text, images, audio, etc.), and that can generate a new set of information from it. Generative AI tools like chatbots are powerful, and for some of us, exciting. Like all tools, they can be effective in reaching a goal in a specific context, but ineffective, incorrect, and/or risky if applied in the wrong place or for the wrong purpose. You will encounter different approaches to AI use from different professors, depending on the learning objectives of the course and on other elements. If your professor does not explicitly state that they allow AI use in particular coursework, using it opens you to significant risk: the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards sees unauthorized use of AI as a reportable violation under Student Conduct Code.

I have never used GenAi as a part of my normal coursework/daily life. I have used ChatGpt in the past years for information and web searching purposes, I do not pass off Artificial Intelligence's sloppy work as my own.
