    1. the racial gap between teachers and students has widened as more young people of color have enrolled each year. In 1994, two-thirds of public school students were white; by 2016, fewer than half were.

I want to say that I'm grateful that the teachers regardless of their skin color choose that profession and while representation is important why are we discrediting people because of their skin color?

    1. Diversity is a measure of the overall racial makeup of a school district. A district is considered diverse when no one race constitutes more than 75 percent of the school system’s student body overall. #g-explainer-box .g-artboard { margin:0 auto; } #g-explainer-box .g-artboard p { margin:0; This seems like a lax determination of "diverse". If it only takes 26% to make a school diverse, it sounds like a pretentious way to skirt around the issue of diversity and making it a number issue.

    1. each of us is able to undermine the system of oppression by refusing to live with unchecked or unacknowledged privilege. Simply by reflecting and challenging our privileges, and working to change the system of discrimination through direct discussion

I like this response because it's bold faced and calls out the solution as it is. The solution is easy to do but difficult to attain because people are stubborn and hate change. Self reflection is not easy to do but the rewards for doing so make the challenge worth it.

    2. But it’s not to say that my right-handed privilege has the same social responsibility as the privilege that is my white skin color, wealth, and sexual orientation. The point I am trying to make is this: our identities are nuanced and intersectional.

Our Identities are nuanced and so much more then just the color of our skin and backgrounds. I respect this quote because it doesn't back down from the fact that privilege exists but furthers it by saying there is always something more to see and learn from other people.
