Basically, the physical, tangible power of kings is great, it strikes fear in the hearts of men, BUT. Mercy is akin to godliness, and something that should not be used as leverage.

I don't like this not only because of the like. obviously harmful structuring of oppressional hierarchy, but also because binary gender as most of the world understands it stems FROM white, european, colonial places. Indigenous people recognize more than two binary genders, as do a whole slew of other places, so believing that BINARY sexism was around before any other form of oppression is not only incredibly offensive but like, objectively not true?
