    1. He was a skeleton with the skin drawn tight over his bones, with long curls like a woman’s and a shaggy beard. His face was yellow with an earthy tint in it, his cheeks were hollow, his back long and narrow, and the hand on which his shaggy head was propped was so thin and delicate that it was dreadful to look at it. His hair was already streaked with silver, and seeing his emaciated,14 aged-looking face, no one would have believed that he was only forty.

    2. I lie on my bed and close my eyes and think if I keep listening to this one song at some point he’ll be listening too. I know there’s supposed to be a backwards message and that it’s supposed to be evil but I don’t believe it.

      This shows that he is listening to his brother's music and he is growing up because he is not scared anymore and he is very prepared for his next chapter.

      This creates imagery because we can imagine the room that the main character has and how his brother's room is right next to his. you can tell they are close but yet they are distant.

      This shows imagery because the brother left the house and the sibling is describing what is remained. the window is shattered, there were broken records, and police men searching for evidence. He describes all the things that are happening and how the room looks right now. It also describes how the broken record felt on the fingers of the police.

    5. volume’s so loud I hear everything: the tinsel rain of cymbals and urgency of words. The music is hard and heavy with lyrics like poetry; he calls it heavy metal.

      This shows imagery because it shows the qualities of the music and describes how the music sounds.He is using what he is hearing to create imagery and describe his brother and the type of musuc he listens to.
