    1. In fact, many argue that to truly be just and inclusive, design should not be done by professionals on behalf of the world, but rather done with the world. This need for radical inclusion in design processes comes from designers’ inability, no matter how committed to understanding other people’s perspectives, to accounting for the needs of a community, or the potential unintended consequences of a design on a community.

      This point really interested me because it underlined the inclusive and collaborative aspect of design. I agree that professional designers, with their skills and good intentions, cannot perceive a community's diverse needs unless they involve those directly affected. It's a different look from the usual view of design being one-way; this frames design as a partnership. It made me think critically about even the smallest design choices that could have the effect of unintentionally excluding certain groups, and it really encouraged me to think about how I could include others more actively in whatever design processes I take part in.
