      As faculty are working to bring in views and voices of marginalized/minority populations, how do we deal with students who express that they can't relate to material? what kind of guidance could we offer students as they are experiencing this? Similar to how students may find challenge engaging in critical dialogue with critical literature. Why does this occur for various students in different learning contexts, possibly fear of vulnerability?

    1. Critical Race Parenting (ParentCrit)

      I just did a basic FB search for Critical Race Parenting to see if there were any groups out there. Anyone have suggestions for groups that discuss this specific topic in a more social, less academic space?

    2. (1) too early is better than too late

      I struggle as a parent of a toddler (3yo) with the idea that we even use language like "curriculum" for what goes on in a child care center - but wouldn't it be great if these were considerations that could be more explicitly discussed for those settings? These caretakers are part of our family and they are integral to raising our kids - maybe it's just where I live it feels like critical race parenting questions just aren't explicit.
