    1. Have a few masks handy while kids play. This lets them use their imagination about how to use them during playtime. It also helps make masks a more normal part of their everyday world. You can ask your child to put a mask on a stuffed animal, and then ask follow-up questions about why the stuffed animal is wearing the mask. Depending on your child's response, you can clear up any confusion and offer reassurance.

Other tips for encouraging mask wearing for children

    2. Help kids get used to masks. As much as you can, give kids time to practice wearing their masks before they might need to wear one outside of your home. Teach them how to put them on and take them off.

Ways to make wearing easier for young kids

    3. Masks hide part of a person's face. Young children rely on faces. From the time they are babies, young children look at faces for the signals they need to feel safe. When faces are partly hidden by masks, kids can't see the friendly smile or familiar look that usually puts them at ease. When kids can't see the person's whole face, it's harder to feel safe. It's natural to feel scared. But slowly and gently, parents can help kids feel more comfortable. Even very young kids can learn that something that seemed too scary at first is not so scary after all.

Reasons why children are afraid of masks

    4. Parents also can help kids understand why they might need to wear a mask, and make them more comfortable and even fun to wear.

Ways adults can assist in transitioning children into the habit of maskwearing

    5. Most kids can feel comfortable seeing people in masks, as long as adults: Use simple words to explain why people are wearing masks. Give kids time to look, watch, and get used to what's new. Answer kids' questions. Give support.

Methods of making mask wearing more comfortable for children

    6. more and more kids are seeing something they're not used to seeing. For them, it can be strange or a little scary, especially if they need to put on masks too.

Why children are scared of masks

    1. Make sure to clean your hands before touching your mask.Make sure you have your own mask and do not share it with others.Resist the temptation to pull down your mask to your chin or take if off when speaking to other people.Do not store your mask around your arm or wrist or pull it down to rest around your chin or neck. 1. Stinky feet... Everyone loves baby feet so I decided to throw in a few more... I love these 50 toes

Facebook users use this platform to stay connected with family members and friends that may be very far away. People often post pictures of family members or events to keep their "friends" up to date on what is happening in their lives. I used this photo for my cover page because it immediately identifies what I feel is important for people to "see" about me.

    2. The masked Tiger lives! It's not me, but it's my mini-me! I love sharing my work with my kids so this night we were "masking" as a family. My little "Care-bear" wanted to do it too and I knew she'd love this one! What do you think... isn't this cute? Available at your local drugstore, while you pamper yourself, pamper your little ones!

Facebook has the option to post a profile picture so I chose one of my baby. Some people prefer not to clearly identify themselves and choose alternate pictures that still represent them in some way, or they're completely unrelated. Since most of my friends know that I've worked in the skincare industry for over 30 years, I thought that I'd post a fun family idea that might encourage other people with kids to do the same.

    3. The current political environment in the US is extremely polarized and many people were keen on watching the two Vice Presidential candidates debate. Although the topics that the moderator asked the two candidates to discuss were key political issues, instead, a lowly fly made the headlines.

Facebook is notorious for being used as a political platform for information and disinformation. With the US political scene extremely polarized, it was amusing to see so much attention quickly diverted away from two of its key players.

    4. #sayhername #justiceforbreonna I reposted a picture of my eldest daughter that she had originally posted to her Instagram page on her birthday, March 13 - the same day that Breonna Taylor was killed by police in Louisville, Kentucky. This development sparked massive rioting across the US and incited calls for police reforms and instigated the Black Lives Matter movement. My daughter felt compelled to use herself to make her own statement on this issue, and as her mother, I wanted her to know that I fully support her efforts.

I wanted to use this platform to be able to address this social injustice and to stimulate a conversation about this issue, especially because many people I know are either members of the black community or have black family members who took this attack very personally.

    5. Fitting... lol I love sarcastic humour and I find memes like this very amusing. I thought it was humorous given that the Republicans are pushing to confirm their recent nomination for RBG's spot on the Supreme Court before the election, against the wishes of the Democrats and many Americans.

On Facebook, often people post things that reflect their opinions on a specific subject or event that is currently happening and will be read by others within their friend circle or, if their profile is public, then anyone would be able to read it.

    7. Having a child is a beautiful life experience that defies description and is the expected life goal for many. But when it doesn't go as planned, it can be so overwhelming and hard to deal with that it can lead mothers (and fathers) spiralling into depression. Chrissy Teigen and John Legend try to help others who have gone through the same experiences by publicly sharing the intimate story of their very personal loss, and attempt to bring infantile death and its associated heartbreak to the forefront of mental health discussions.

Women's mental health issues have become a major topic and I felt it was important to bring Chrissy and John's story of loss to a place where other mothers might be able to benefit from it. Many Facebook users are mothers and may have similar experiences without support, so this was my way of bringing the issue out in the open.

    8. The pandemic's negative effects on socialization and human behaviour has become very evident as social restrictions have been slowly lifted. Still, there are strict rules still in effect as added precaution which some individuals still choose to scoff their nose at. As someone who works in the retail industry, I often see people enter our place of business without masks. At a time when everyone must adhere to the scientific evidence that wearing masks controls the spread of C...OVID-19 and saves lives, it's extremely frustrating to see some people who believe that they have the right NOT to wear a mask because it's uncomfortable for them or falsely claim to have a "medical" condition to avoid having to do so. This plants a lot of distrust towards people who legitimately cannot wear one. Often, employees are the target of hostility when they are simply trying to reinforce the accepted social expectations for everyone that are meant to protect us all. See M

I chose to post this sign in my feed because many of my Facebook friends also work in the retail industry so we have similar opinions on this matter. I felt that it would spark discussions in agreement with the overall message and I strongly believe that many of them would choose to repost this message to their own profile as a way to share their own frustrating experiences and serve as a reminder to their friends as well.

    9. This video actually made me cry... When I originally viewed this video, it really did make me cry. As a mother of five beautiful children ranging from 27-8, who works full-time as well, this video really highlighted all the jobs that being a mother entails, often without recognition or appreciation.

I posted this video because I felt that, due to the demographic and age of most of my "friends" on Facebook, they would find it relatable to them in their current situations or at least know someone who would fit the description and repost for their "friends" to view as well. I used the phrase, "this video actually made me cry" to spark curiosity from my readers and hopefully entice them to see what it was that evoked that much emotion from me.

    10. I included a brief description of who I am in the Bio section so that people could get a better perspective of why I post certain things. I may post articles on family matters, work-related posts or general interest that I may find interesting and/or important to share.

    1. This picture is very representative of the loves of my life and was taken two weeks after the birth of my last child. The feet are in order of oldest to youngest

I added this photo because I wanted to use it as my cover page and I added a short caption to describe why I posted it so that viewers would know what this is a photo of and how it relates to me.

    1. The masked Tiger lives!

I added a profile picture and caption because this is a customary addition to most people's' Feacebook profile to identify them against others who may have the same name.

The illness usually lasts 4 to 7 days, and most people recover without treatment. In some people, the illness may be so severe that the patient needs to be hospitalized. Salmonella infection may spread from the intestines to the bloodstream and then to other places in the body. Children younger than 5 years, adults 65 years and older, and people with weakened immune systems are more likely to have a severe illness.
