“Sling the noose from the roof…” → finally succumbing to the moment of death?

“Real life” → real life is hope and moving forward?

“Siren’s song” → plays on both the actual siren, along with the mythological creature, so maybe it means to insinuate that being in the ambulance was an alluring idea to the author?

“Mythic and literal” → something is truly happening, but it’s to such an extreme that it feels surreal

the darkness is the domination of white people, which "covers all" as in they have full control and also have all aspects of life (ex. art, beauty standards, etc.) biased and geared towards them

maybe subtly calling out the corruption/colonization done by religious figureheads?

dying for truth and dying for beauty -- are the two linked because one is seeking out truth, and the other is reforming a person's truth through changing themselves?

maybe she didn't exist until the owner identified and saw use in her? since her life had stood still, in a corner, before then

is she being used in order to protect someone from the emotional harms of life, or does she truly guard someone physically? is it maybe her consciously guarding her own feeling?

there is a sense of religious devotion and innate faith in recognizing and appreciating the nature.
