    1. Having privilege does not mean that an individual is immune to life’s hardships, but it does mean having an unearned benefit or advantage one receives in society by nature of their identity.

      I feel like this distinction between "immunity to hardship" and privilege is incredibly important, and will allow people to be more comfortable in discussing their privilege instead of automatically getting defensive.

    2. A lot of time, people will respond with defensives, or guilt.

      I feel like this is incredibly true for people that don't like to acknowledge their privilege. I feel that when people are asked to address the idea of privilege they feel as if someone is blaming them for the privilege they possess, when really they are just being asked to acknowledge that it's real.
