When choosing a shear remember that they can last up to 15 years or longer, depending on how often you sharpen and how you care for them.
For me personally, this is definitely the goal especially if I'm purchasing a high quality, and expensive pair of shears , I'm going to take very good care of them so they will last hopefully as long as that 15-year mark.
