      Ahhhh! This is so cute, so the parents were already telling Gus to refer to them as mom and dad!?

      The sibling rivalry is clear here. There's some underlying issue with the sister, clearly, as she seems very controlling over her brother's lifestyle choices. Something about the sister needing control and because of this desire for control, is her drive to keep the air "dry".

      I enjoy the narrator/author's use of humor to lighten the mood during these moments. How often are we placed in weird, uncomfortable situations where we sometimes think of our life as a "traumedy".

      In many families, it seems like there is such a strong weight placed on males to carry on the family name. This seems like it could be so confusing and intimidating to someone who's trying to figure themselves out.

      Adorable! Almost like the whole idea of "true love's kiss waking up a slumbering princess", but instead it's his body completely drying with honesty.

    6. Uttering “this sentence is false” or some other paradox leaves you with such a sense of angst

      I can imagine the amount of people trying to mumble "this isn't true" to themselves, before lying out loud. Unless that situation calls for water to fall anyway.
