Given that the genes involved in developmental delay disorders are related to a very broad spectrum of disease/phenotypes with varying levels of evidence for functional consequence, DDD genes were further filtered to have a “confirmed” status, “loss of function” mutation consequence, and to be related to “Brain/Cognition” phenotypes.

    1. If we can identify those animals early or breed to eliminate them, we can potentially reduce the stress of the whole mob.

      Could be interesting to start using this method of genetic selection in the Angus breed soon - to get head of the competition.
