Are the earnings from such YouTube channels enough to sustain young professionals, especially those not in popular entertainment genres like music and comedy?
I don't like the tone of this article, if it scares you so much that people are wasting their talents on youtube don't worry about them! And if money's a problem, I'm sure these influencers can find a job on the side to help support them.

Just a few short years ago, there was a dearth of quality television streaming options for people desperate to cut the cord. If you wanted to watch live TV in any way, shape, or form, you needed to splash out on a costly cable subscription. Which was frustrating.
I feel like at this point everyone takes the internet and youtube for granted

“Me at the Zoo” — 19 seconds of Karim in front of the elephants at the San Diego Zoo — is the first video posted to the site.
I've never actually watched this but it's mentioned in multiple youtube videos, because it's the first video ever posted to the site. I think it's important for an app like this to remember ,milestones like this, and it just proves that this app can thrive.

Ever since I was little we would have these projects that say, ”Who’s your role model?” I would always put, ”My mom,” because a lot of people said that you wouldn’t graduate, but you did–you graduated MIT twice.
I love this! She knows how to keep the interview flowing and relating to her Mom with a memory they had shared.

This is an example of a good interviewing technique. She is understanding and knows the right questions to ask based on previous answers
