      This is interesting! I think that Hollywood has potentially dragged out as many potential box office dystopian storylines as it can. It might be time to start producing more utopian aligned films and seeing what that looks like. I'm excited to see how this manifests in media.

      I think that he is saying that the beauty implications that are "required" by civilization are not actually required by humans in order to live. So its purpose in society is technically futile unless there are other social forces at work.

    1. So after finishing the article, I 100% understand her points but after years and years of recognized "unintentional" oppression, when does that change? The people "unintentionally" enabling these systems eventually have to be held at full accountability which I feel this article fails to mention. It's very general and I see why as oppression can get very intricate and complex. Overall, this was a great read and I like her use of analogy throughout the argument.
