Captain Scarlet felt lonely and upset when Grampian TV aired his show for the final time, and left Captain Blue homeless with no money. He invited him to live with him aboard Spectrum and share his bed with him and give him proper food and nourishment. Captain Blue was most grateful.

Captain Scarlet, Postman Pat and Gordon the Gopher are the best of friends. Captain Scarlet could obviously do with Pat's accompaniment, because of all the trauma he experienced when indestructible, and Gordon has problems too - he misses his friend Mr Phillip Schofield so much.
