    1. Overall, I like Gorbachev as a former leader. I think he was an amazing leader who made great reforms. One quality I really like about him is that he was against violence. Every leader should learn from him and how resorting to violence is not the answer to anything.

One shocking revealatoin is that Gorbachev could have saved perestroika which was a project so dear to him if he resorted to violence but he did not want to use violence so he lost the project. I am shocked to see this because i feel like if it was any other leader they would resort to violence if they had a project so close to their heart.
