Wow what a way to end the chapter. Are instcutional Designers wasting their time decorating their instruction or filling them with jargon that they miss the point of educating the learners.

This is a wonderful story about something that anyone could be familiar with and understand how instrucitonal design can go at times. Lending to the attractiveness and lacking on the informing side.

Not sure why but I was waiting until the very last moment for a plot twist, a more thrilling resolution I didn't see coming because I was mislead by the narrators/narrative. Considering that the book was a pioneer in its genre, it's undoubtedly incredible. But I guess the exposure to thousands of other plots that followed and built upon this one has fed my adrenaline-seeking mind and the need for a sophisticated deception.

In todays society life satisfaction and happiness is presented in the form of a college degree, a powerful career, and the amount of money you have. It seems like the only way to make it in this world is to be robotic and follow the system. We have lost touch of what life should consist of. Todays youth are conditioned to follow the path of money and power instead of happiness. Kids should be kids, not robots.
