The right margin on the Olympia SG3 is a known thing:<br /> - https://typewriter.boardhost.com/viewtopic.php?pid=27528#p27528<br /> - https://typewriter.boardhost.com/viewtopic.php?id=3521
They say roughly what my experience is with both of my Olympia SG3 right margins: - If you're typing characters, the line lock will engage and require you to hit the margin release to continue. - If you're tabbing, spacing, or using the carriage release you'll blow right through the margin and can keep typing.
The number of spaces from bell to margin will differ based on the pitch of the machine as will the number of spaces one would need to space past the margin before the line lock disengages and allows you to type in the margin again.
It was a change in design of how a right margin stop worked in late typewriter manufacture.
