Born of the need to find alternatives to the frontal teaching of music, the Dutch Association of Music Teachers (VLS) called on its members (i.e. music teachers trained at a conservatory with a bachelor degree in music in education) to share lesson materials, links to online technologies, and assessments that they had used and liked for teaching music. These materials were collected on the VLS website (VLS, 2020) and are organized in six categories (translated from Dutch

Thanks. Worked for me. I needed to move the merged directory into a sub-folder so after following the above steps I simply used git mv source-dir/ dest/new-source-dir
-
In case you want to put project-a into a subdirectory, you can use git-filter-repo (filter-branch is discouraged)

New changes to the old repositories can be imported into the monorepo and merged in. For example, in the above example, say repository one had a branch my_branch which continued to be developed after the migration. To pull those changes in:

Let's say that we want to extract a piece of a repository, with the intent on merging just that piece into some other bigger repo.

The transclusion doesn't automatically change along with it. If transclusions were direct embeds of the original content, we'd end up with link rot on a whole new scale. Every document would be a sad compilation of 404's.
Thinking about Git repositories, this is how submodules work. you 'freeze' the 'transclusion' to one exact commit and can update if and when needed. Moreover, the contents are stored within the local repository, so they are future-proof.

The individual does not use this information and this processing to grapple directly with the sort of complex situation in which we seek to give him help. He uses his innate capabilities in a rather more indirect fashion, since the situation is generally too complex to yield directly to his motor actions, and always too complex to yield comprehensions and solutions from direct sensory inspection and use of basic cognitive capabilities.
The mention here of "innate capabilities" and the importance to yielding motor actions toward complex challenges, is noted. A question arises, regarding "basic cognitive capabilities" and their role in the process?

I think contextualizing the applications of a tool like Unpaywall in the OA movement could be useful in the 5.3 section, as an added paragraph. Unpaywall helps researchers find papers that are available freely on the web. Often these papers are held in university repositories or author websites. The author may have transferred copyright to the publisher at the time of publication for a window of time that has expired, or the author may have retained copyright of their publication. I think that the idea of a scientific language decoder for the public is an excellent educational tool and potential public service.

I believe a model where commercial providers develop and maintain open scholarly communications infrastructure requires four basic principles of openness: Open Source, Open Data, Open Integrations, and Open Contracts.
Hindawi CEO lays out the four elements he sees as key to proprietary companies participating effectively in building and providing infrastructure to support open science.

Not necessarily. For many institutions, as long as one of the researchers is affiliated, the data can be deposited

I have used the bibliographies to conduct my own research in the area of cataloging assessment, and the social justice bibliography has helped me with a project I’m working on to examine video classification practices.
A lot of my research involves digital library/digital repository assessment, and the assessment literature in that area also relies heavily on quantitative measurements of assessment. I'm very interested in seeing the cataloging + social justice bibliography and if it can help my digital library assessment research.
