    1. Aesopian language is a means of communication with the intent to convey a concealed meaning to informed members of a conspiracy or underground movement, whilst simultaneously maintaining the guise of an innocent meaning to outsiders.

Parents often use variations of double entendre to communicate between each other with out children understanding while present.

It's also likely that Indigenous elders may use this sort of communication with uninitiated members nearby.

    1. Limiting zoning regulations, allocating relocation vouchers (as my AEI colleague Michael Strain has proposed), and implementing school-choice reforms all might be among the options in tearing down the walls that separate the poor.

As he rightly says they "might be", but where are his small scale experiments providing any support for these claims??

School-choice is lovely in major cities that might provide it, though often it's a socio-economic ghetto creator moving privileged white children from their dark skinned neighbors. Why not force better public education and funding by rolling back the strangle hold on economic spending going back to Regan? School-choice is nice, but it continually feels more like a dog whistle for institutional and structural racism.

And don't forget that for the smaller communities that only have one school option things are even much more dire.

    1. We might learn something new, if we understood both sides.

Allosso is using "both sides" in a broadly journalistic fashion the way it had traditionally meant in the mid to late 21st century until Donald J. Trump's overtly racist comment on Aug. 15, 2017 "you also had people that were very fine people, on both sides." following the Charlottesville, VA protests.

Perhaps it might be useful if people quit using the "both sides" as if there were only two perspectives on an issue (for or against), when in reality there is often a spectrum of thoughts and feelings, not all mutually exclusive, about issues?

    1. These are the four positions on the diamond shape; the opposites, both and neither.  We swing around and around the diamond shape if we stay in language and our thinking. This is the swirling world of thinking and samsara. To enter the truth, we have to get off the diamond shape and enter into the center of the chart. The center of the chart is, as Katagiri Roshi always said, the intersection of time and space. It is the truth-happening place, the only true reality – the present moment. When we find our heads spinning around all the prism of viewpoints, we can simply enter into the intersection of time and space and let “understanding” go.

This is a very pith statement. We go round and round in our thinking, jumping from one position to another but not able to see that our sense of frustration does not arise from not finding the right view, but rather from chasing after any view. ANY view will have the same inherent flaw. We are like a dog chasing its own tail, or like the ouroboro serpent attempting to eat its own tail.

It is the awareness of the meta-condition that is the key insight. Ultimately, it is up to us to finally convince ourselves to let go of chasing "understanding" to fall into the lived experience of the truth, rather than the propositional only....which is like empty calories and can never salsify our deepest aspirations of wisdom.

This arrived at the house today. Lily will take some getting used to it. She wants to nose around at the corners so she can sit on the floor and put her nose between the seats still.

Seems to work relatively well in the rear cargo space too.

    1. Frustration barking. Dog is confused, frustrated, or stressed.

      KPA 給挫折吠叫的定義非常簡單:感到困惑、挫折或者有壓力。

    1. It is similar to aggressive growling only in that the dog wants to get closer to the object of their desire (usually other dogs) but the intent is not to do harm. These dogs may want to chase something like bikes or skateboards but often just want to play, get some attention or investigate something.

    1. I really enjoyed the assignment for DOG 1. We were supposed to go to a place that we found safe and comforting. I chose Lake Merritt because I come here to clear my mind and often just to sit by the lake. Its very relaxing and besides that the view is beautiful. I live for spectacular views. Its just a calm feeling that I get here that I never seem to get anywhere else. This place brings me peace. There were a lot of people at the lake. People were working out, exercising, and jogging. I loved to see that because I had just come from the gym myself. I love working out and I believe in staying physically fit. I saw people that were out with their families and just casually walking the lake. I saw a lot of people that looked like they were coming from work. Some people were in groups and some people were alone. All the people coming from work were all in their 40’s which was very interesting. I saw a few people sun bathing, and one girl that sat in the grass to eat a salad. There was a homeless man laying in the grass not too far from me, he looked so relaxed. Every human being here looked content, no one looked like they were having a bad time.
