I built the system out of necessity–because after trying my hand at the big names in personal productivity systems for years, I couldn’t quite get them to work for me. Out of that frustration, The Today System was born.
Mike Sturm ostensible created the Today System for his own use.
Is the system productized? Is he charging something for it or just proselytizing it?

It is said these two songs spring from the same tune - but with different lyrics applied in the American west... Separated by hundreds of years and the Atlantic Ocean, I alternate the verses of the two songs here, showing the similarity..
There's a close similarity between the Streets of Laredo and the sean-nós ballad Bard of Armagh.

I love my new Retro 1951 pens, but love my Pentel EnerGel refills better than the stock rollerball or even Parker Gel refills. So, I chopped the ends off of my EnerGel refills to match the Length of the Parker and Retro refills with an exacto knife - worked great.

Mike Rohde has previously had luck with the Bic Gel 0.7mm refill chopped down to fit his Retro 51 pens. Similarly he's done the Parker Gel 0.7mm refill and the Pentel Energel 0.7mm refill chopped down to fit.

DeWine said he has talked directly with the director and several members of the six-member Ohio Casino Control Commission, to which the legislature gave the job of regulating the fledgling industry.
Since neither you nor I nor anyone else may dictate whether or not people bet on sports in Ohio, we couldn't have justly granted that authority to the legislature to hand off to the made-up "Ohio Casino Control Commission". We also couldn't have justly granted any authority to "Governor" Mike DeWine.
This is simply corrupt racketeering by the most powerful gang in the state, and their "legions of enforcer" mercenaries to claim a right to impose their opinions on Ohioans when no one else can.
For those confused, it's right there in the Just Powers clause of The Declaration of Independence.
All just Gov power must be granted to it by individuals. They can't just wish power for themselves out of thin air, no matter how many legislators or voters "vote" for the wish to come true.

formerly was a partof the mathematical program at the intermediate level, has now beendropped from that program, and hence is no longer included in thenew textbooks on elementary algebra. On the other hand, the curriculaat the more advanced levels (even in the mathematics divisions ofuniversities) also omit this theory.
Mike Miller relayed to me on 2022-09-27 on the first meeting of his class Theory and Applications of Continued Fractions that he met a professor colleague walking on campus who mistakenly thought that he was teaching an 8th grade class on basic fractions for the UCLA math department.

d. She puts the ideas together and tries to broker a deal for theconglomerate to acquire a radio network. At the end, she’s challenged to describehow she came up with the plan for the acquisition. It’s a telling scene. She has justbeen fired. On her way out of the building, with all her files and personal itemspacked in a box (a box just like mine!), she gets a chance to explain her thoughtprocess to the mogul:See? This is Forbes. It’s just your basic article about how you were lookingto expand into broadcasting. Right? Okay now. The same day—I’ll never forgetthis—I’m reading Page Six of the New York Post and there’s this item on BobbyStein, the radio talk show guy who does all those gross jokes about Ethiopiaand the Betty Ford Center. Well, anyway, he’s hosting this charity auction thatnight. Real bluebloods and won’t that be funny? Now I turn the page to Suzywho does the society stuff and there’s this picture of your daughter—see, nicepicture—and she’s helping to organize the charity ball. So I started to think:Trask, Radio, Trask, Radio.... So now here we are. He’s impressed and hires her on the spot. Forget the fairy-tale plot; as ademonstration of how to link A to B and come up with C, Working Girl is a primerin the art of scratching.
The plot twist at the end of Working Girl (Twentieth Century Fox, 1988) turns on Tess McGill (Melanie Griffith) explaining her stroke of combinatorial creativity in coming up with a business pitch. Because she had juxtaposed several disparate ideas from the New York Post several pages from each other in a creative way, she got the job and Katharine Parker (Sigourney Weaver) is left embarrassed because she can't explain how she came up with a complicated combination of ideas.
Is this Tess McGill's zettelkasten in the movie Working Girl?
Tess McGill has slips of newspaper with ideas on them and a physical box to put them in.
slips with ideas+box=zettelkasten
Bonus points because she links her ideas, right?!

The agenda item did bring in one detractor in resident Mike Mohill, who called it “polarizing” and described the city as being “very fine” in its current era.
"Very fine" is a dog whistle statement here created by Donald J. Trump and indicates his approval of white power. See also:

Fukuyama's work, which draws on both competition analysis and an assessment of threats to democracy, joins a growing body of proposals that also includes Mike Masnick's "protocols not platforms," Cory Doctorow's "adversarial interoperability," my own "Magic APIs," and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey's "algorithmic choice."
Nice overview of work in the space for fixing monopoly in social media space the at the moment. I hadn't heard about Fukuyama or Daphne Keller's versions before.
I'm not sure I think Dorsey's is actually a thing. I suspect it is actually vaporware from the word go.
IndieWeb has been working slowly at the problem as well.

Alan Jacobs seems to be delving into the area of thought spaces provided by blogs and blogging.
In my view, they come out of a cultural tradition of commonplace books becoming digital and more social in the the modern era. Jacobs is obviously aware of the idea of Zettelkasten, but possibly hasn't come across the Sonke Ahrens' book on smart notes or the conceptualization of the "digital garden" stemming from Mike Caulfield's work.
He's also acquainted with Robin Sloane, though it's unclear if he's aware of the idea of Stock and Flow.
