I actually think this is Not Constructive, since there's no absolute rule about which pairings can be joined into a single word or hyhenated, and it's pointless having "votes" here about each specific case. Follow a style guide if you have one, or search Google Books and copy whatever the majority do. Or just make your own decision.

The words type, concept, property, quality, feature and attribute (all used in describing things) tend to be used with different verbs. E.g. Suppose a rose bush is defined as a plant that is "thorny", "flowering" and "bushy". You might say a rose bush instantiates these three types, or embodies these three concepts, or exhibits these three properties, or possesses these three qualities, features or attributes.

Anti-Features
I don't think this is what Anti-Features means. Here he's listing things that this tool lacks, some of them being good things, like the "Does not require updating every time a new Ruby version comes out". That's a feature, not an anti-feature!
Check out how F-Droid uses the term. Anti-feature means things that are present that aren't wanted. Undesirable "features" that are present.
Unless they are just implying (but not explicitly saying):
Anti-features that are not included

In agent-oriented programming the antonym is depender, though in general usage the common term dependent is used instead. There is no common language equivalent for dependee', however – other metaphors are used instead, such as parent/child. The circumlocutions “A depends on B” and “B is depended on by A” are much more common in general use than “A is the depender, B is the ' dependee ”.

I can see (here) another reason people might incorrectly spell the verb roll back as "rollback": because they are including it in a list of other single-word words separated only by spaces. If one were to include the space in "roll back" as it should have, then it would "break" this meaningful-whitespace design/layout.

Either, plus presumably "bug-fix." The word has almost surely been coined multiple times by people who hadn't heard it before, because the utility is obvious. In some universe where English was required to always make sense, the one-word or hyphenated forms would be the most likely, since two words implies that "bug" is an adjective.
-
It’s a “bug” and you “fix” it - so properly, in English, it’s a “bug fix” - but very often it’s shortened to “bugfix”.

Is "customizability" an English word? Yes. It is a root word in English, "custom," with English suffixes added according to the rules of English morphology. So even if it isn't in the dictionary, it is a perfectly legitimate English word.
-
Customizability is a popular word that arose of jargon in software and computer related circles . It is not yet a formally recognized and would not be correct utilized it is not yet a formally recognized and would not be correct utilized in formal writing outside of its common reference to the flexibility of a design and it's ability to be altered to fit the user.

the spelling "Web site" (and the less questionable "web site") is an anachronism from the 1990s that is still in use by the NYT and some other conservative print media in the US while most others (including the online sections of the NYT!) today use "website".
-
Website is not a proper noun (as opposed to the Internet), hence not capitalized.
-
English tends to build new compound nouns by simply writing them as separate words with a blank. Once the compound is established (and the original parts somewhat "forgotten"), it's often written as one word or hyphenated. (Examples: shoelaces, aircraft...)
-
Web site / website seems to be somewhat in a transitional stage, being seen as an "entity" that web page hasn't reached yet. Depending on which dictionary you check you will find web site and website, but only web page, not webpage.

Entreaties
An unfamiliar word, I searched the definition to better understand the excerpt. One definition according to the OED: An earnest or humble request. Also: the action of making such a request; supplication. Here he uses a word with a very innocent connotation to describe what his mother has asked of him. In most traditional texts, prior to the novel, women always seemed to be portrayed as innocent and truthful. His mother is being portrayed here in that exact manner. As a result, this further enhances the idea that this text still contains elements of traditional pre novel texts.

Victor is referring to Chalgrove Field in Oxfordshire, where the revolutionary leader John Hampden was fatally wounded in a battle with Royalist leader Prince Rupert.

Charles I.
In 1642, the absolutist monarch Charles I of England (1600-1649) gathered forces loyal to him, and used Oxford as a home base to combat the rebelling Parliamentarian Forces led by the Earl of Essex, Thomas Fairfax, and Oliver Cromwell. The conflict culminated in the execution of the monarch for treason in 1649. See Ann Hughes, The Causes of the English Civil War 2nd ed (New York: Palgrave Macmillon, 1998).
-
Hampden
Victor's admiration for John Hampden (1595-1643)--a leading English dissident opposing Charles I in the early years of the English Revolution--sits uneasily with his earlier nostalgia for the days of Charles I. Where the Creature had shown a consistent and clear sympathy with the radical Enlightenment, Victor seems as confused about the reactionary and progressive elements of the English past as he had about the modern and premodern versions of "natural philosophy" in the history of science. See also Iain Crawford, "Wading Through Slaughter: John Hampden, Thomas Gray, and Mary Shelley's Frankenstein," Studies in the Novel, 20.3 (1988): 249-61.
-
we proceeded to Oxford
No university in Europe could have been more the opposite of the University of Ingolstadt (where Victor learned his science) than Oxford University, the seat of theological learning and a holdout against any form of Enlightenment sciences. Victor is also initially nostalgic for the days of Charles I when the absolute monarch was beleaguered in the early years of the English Revolution (1642-1659). He later praises the republican opponent of Charles I, John Hampden. What version of England's political past Mary Shelley means to commemorate in this chapter remains an interesting question.

Gower
Sir Thomas Gower, 2nd Baronet (c. 1605–1672) twice served as the High Sheriff of Yorkshire and supported the Royalist cause during the Civil War. In his 1823 edition of Shelley's novel, her father William Godwin changed "Gower" to "Goring," the name of another Royalist leader in the Civil War, and the 1823 change is retained in the 1831 revision of the novel.

Goring
George Goring, 1st Earl of Norwich (1608-1657), was an English politician and soldier, supporting Charles I against Parliament and an aggressive military strategist. His reputation for insubordination and "insolence" led the great English historian Lord Clarendon to remark that he "would, without hesitation, have broken any trust, or done any act of treachery to have satisfied an ordinary passion or appetite" [in Lord Clarendon, History of the Rebellion (1702-4)]. In editing the 1818 version of the novel in 1823, William Godwin had changed "Gower" in Mary Shelley's original text to "Goring," doubtless following Clarendon's History. The 1818 text had referred to another Royalist supporter of Charles I, Sir Thomas Gower, 2nd Baronet (1594-1651).

Because they're more integrated and try to serialize an incomplete system (e.g. one with some kind of side effects: from browser/library/runtime versions to environment to database/API changes), they will tend to have high false-negatives (failing test for which the production code is actually fine and the test just needs to be changed). False negatives quickly erode the team's trust in a test to actually find bugs and instead come to be seen as a chore on a checklist they need to satisfy before they can move on to the next thing.

“But beyond the pleasure of Dreyer’s prose and authorial tone, I think there is something else at play with the popularity of his book,” he explained. “To put it as simply as possible, the man cares, and we need people who care right now.”
I believe that the main reason why Benjamin Dreyer's Dreyer's English: an Utterly Correct Guide to Clarity and Style is so well-read, is that he's funny.
The humor is dry as a paper board, for example:
The NSA may be reading your emails and texts, but I’m not. If you prefer “Hi John” to “Hi, John,” you go right ahead.
and:
For the sake of clarity, we use hyphens to helpfully link up a pair or passel of words preceding and modifying a noun, as in: first-rate movie fifth-floor apartment middle-class morality nasty-looking restaurant all-you-can-eat buffet However, convention (a.k.a. tradition, a.k.a. consensus, a.k.a. it’s simply how it’s done, so don’t argue with it) allows for exceptions in some cases in which a misreading is unlikely, as in, say: real estate agent high school students And though you may, now that you’re staring at these constructions, wonder worryingly about the reality of that estate agent or the sobriety of those school students, I’d urge you to stop staring and move on. (Staring at words is always a bad idea. Stare at the word “the” for more than ten seconds and reality begins to recede.)
Another thing, Dreyer is both funny and witty. Here's a bonus example of this:
As a lexicographer friend once confided over sushi, the dictionary takes its cues from use: If writers don’t change things, the dictionary doesn’t change things. If you want your best-seller to be a bestseller, you have to help make that happen. If you want to play videogames rather than video games, go for it. I hope that makes you feel powerful. It should.

“Bartleby, the Scrivener,” Herman Melville
Ms. Massicot assigned this novella in her English class my junior year in high school. Fifty years later, Bartleby still informs my decision making everyday. Especially when responding to academics and educational institutions.

My daughter will be brought up to understand her true value. That’s a promise. As for all the little girls to be born around the world, the creation of these ads is an effort to show how imagination can change the conversation around their lives.
This piece connects with the authors opening by talking about her daughter again. At the beginning of her article she talks about her doctors appointment and being told that she is going to have a little girl. The author then follows up with statistics on why most would rather have a boy. I think that since she wrapped back around to her own personal experience and thoughts that it makes it resonate more with the reader. She targets the audience with an emotional connection, or pathos, gets all of her points out. Discusses how society makes girls out to the lesser gender and then comes back in with why this topic is important to her. So, I think that this is an effective strategy.

more design-driven.
As someone who loves design (especially to do with books and texts (e.g. Coralie Bickford-Smith's work with Penguin Publishing)), this is very interesting to me. This may not have to do with digital humanities per say, but the interplay of physical books (especially publishing companies and their need to $compete$ with digital texts) with digital modes of communication has led to the design of more aesthetically pleasing book designs. This idea makes me think that maybe books are viewed as elitist forms, and digital texts are viewed as 'lower' forms.

First, she tried to look down and make out what she was coming to, but it was too dark to see anything; then she looked at the sides of the well, and noticed that they were filled with cupboards and book-shelves; here and there she saw maps and pictures hung upon pegs.
This quote spoke me because the way, Carroll play with language. For example, she was trying to figure out where she was but it was “too dark” then she spot “sides of the well”. Noticed something like “cupboards and books-shelves, maps and pictures”. It almost like Carroll wrote this for kids to feel welcome and free.

One of the main ways computers are changing the textual humanities is by mediating new connections to social science. The statistical models that help sociologists understand social stratification and social change haven’t in the past contributed much to the humanities, because it’s been difficult to connect quantitative models to the richer, looser sort of evidence provided by written documents.

Has the information been revised or updated?
I believe that the question, "has the information been revised or updated" is the most important question in this section because if its not up to date then it may not be accurate.

the study of rhetoric, much maligned by literary critics of the day, is precisely what is needed to understand the effects not only of literature but of all forms of discourse.
It is interesting that, in the higher education landscape of the 21st century, this view of rhetoric seems to have been more widely accepted by Communication scholars more so than English Literature scholars. I think that the tension between Communication and English departments at so many universities is absurd, but the focus that Burke places on effects and tangible reactions seems to be the cause of this tension.
My point in saying this is that Burke seems to be solely interested in rhetoric as a form of communication.

Corin Throsby human terms as a 'companion' who 'converses' with her, and in this way blurs the distinction between author and text:
I feel that Byron has always struggled with identity so it does not surprise me that Throsby points out the distinction between author and text beginning to blur. Lord Byron has been known to live a "risque"lifestyle so whose to say their is not very much distinction between what Byron writes and what he leaves? This adds to the mystique of who Lord Byron is and add to his appeal to women reading his literature.

Common
Though "standard" English is still important, it seems that there was more anxiety about standardization and prescriptive language/grammar during the Enlightenment than there is now. What accounts for this concern? Does it have anything to do with expansion in education, or leaning more towards the vernacular in school?

The present results suggest that there is room to improve reproducibility in psychology. Any temptation to interpret these results as a defeat for psychology, or science more generally, must contend with the fact that this project demonstrates science behaving as it should. Hypotheses abound that the present culture in science may be negatively affecting the reproducibility of findings.
The conclusion is a lot easier to understand for someone who is new to psychology and for me makes the article and the points it is trying to argue much more accessible.

Assuming a two-tailed test and significance or α level of 0.05, all test results of original and replication studies were classified as statistically significant (P ≤ 0.05) and nonsignificant (P > 0.05). However, original studies that interpreted nonsignificant P values as significant were coded as significant (four cases, all with P values < 0.06). Using only the nonsignificant P values of the replication studies and applying Fisher’s method (26), we tested the hypothesis that these studies had “no evidential value” (the null hypothesis of zero-effect holds for all these studies). We tested the hypothesis that the proportions of statistically significant results in the original and replication studies are equal using the McNemar test for paired nominal data and calculated a CI of the reproducibility parameter. Second, we compared the central tendency of the distribution of P values of original and replication studies using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test and the t test for dependent samples. For both tests, we only used study-pairs for which both P values were available.
The article becomes significantly harder to understand for the general public when P values and a levels are used extensively.

Even research of exemplary quality may have irreproducible empirical findings because of random or systematic error. Direct replication is the attempt to recreate the conditions believed sufficient for obtaining a previously observed finding (7, 8) and is the means of establishing reproducibility of a finding with new data.
I think that the author is mainly appealing towards an academic audience with some prior knowledge in the field. This is due to language such as empirical and mainly discussing data as opposed to a popular science article.

“One way to look at it is he’s just wasting time,” says Leslie. “But for him, there are no instructions. You figure out how to do it yourself. It’s ‘how do I make my guy take over an Imperial Ship?’ It teaches logic and tenacity, and how to solve your own problems.”
Is it really though? There has to be some limits to what you can do... The game is designed to react to different actions and the boy just has to figure out what would work. Let me know if I am assuming incorrectly

Such concerns may be valid, but has anyone met a college student who couldn’t tie his own shoes? And although kids may be riding bicycles later, they’re also designing computer programs earlier.
Yes but if children are not developing a love for reading at a young age, they're missing out on so much! Books all have some message that they are trying to get across, and computer games aren't getting that in-depth and personal and relating to kids everyday lives. Sure, they teach different educational skills, but the connection between a child and a book is much more personal then a child having a connection with an app or computer game.

The education in the 21st century has offered a lot of predictions, and the future imperatives have also been utilized by the education in the 21st century which was obviously not done in the education strategies in the 19th century.http://blog.selectmytutor.co.uk/education-level-in-21st-century-from-19th-century/

I ask the teacher all the time if I can be in English class,'' said Alberto, a 9-year-old who will enter sixth grade in the fall. ''The teacher just says no.'' For the time being, Alberto added, he learns English by watching the Cartoon Network.
The kids are being denied rights to learn english and have resorted to outside sources like television for learning.
