        • insightful comment reveals an adjacency between luxury and democracy that is obvious in hindsight, but missed seeing in foresight!
      • adjacency between:

        • luxury
        • democracy
      • adjacency statement
        • luxury is, by definition a premium artefact so by definition is beyond the reach of most people. It is therefore un-democratic by design.

    1. there's a detail here which is that there are also parts of the Palestinian movement who 00:05:28 reject the original state of Israel and the 1948 borders

The interviewee does not clarify enough this point, though it is recognized as contentious.

According to UN 1945, 2.8 Palestinians have the right to demand conpensations for the lands Israel apropiated before the Nakba.

The international community after 1967 came to the gradual understanding that negotiations for the reparations & the occupation will commence AFTER Israel withdraws to pre-1967 borders. Israel & the US are the parties that have been steadily resisting this, as is is shown by all intermediate agreements the US contributed to manufacture consent.

Upto now, MgO ceramics doped with several different transition andrare earth elements have been studied for dosimeters[17e21]

    1. The United States is a land of stark contrasts. It is one of the world’s wealthiest societies, a global leader in many areas, and a land of unsurpassed technological and other forms of innovation. Its corporations are global trendsetters, its civil society is vibrant and sophisticated and its higher education system leads the world. But its immense wealth and expertise stand in shocking contrast with the conditions in which vast numbers of its citizens live. About 40 million live in poverty, 18.5 million in extreme poverty, and 5.3 million live in Third World conditions of absolute poverty.4It has the highest youth poverty rate in the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), and the highest infant mortality rates among comparable OECD States. Its citizens live shorter and sicker lives compared to those living in all other rich democracies, eradicable tropical diseases are increasingly prevalent, and it has the world’s highest incarceration rate, one of

    1. Characteristics of a full basic income9.In its comprehensive and ideal form, a basic income is explicitly designed to challenge most of the key assumptions underpinning existing social security systems. Rather than a system where there are partial payments, basic income guarantees a floor; instead of being episodic, payments are regular; rather than being needs-based, they arepaid as a flat rate to all; they come in cash, rather than as messy in-kind support; they accrue to every individual, rather than only to needy households; rather than requiring that various conditions be met, they are unconditional; rather than excludingthe well off, they are universal; and instead of being based on lifetime contributions, they are funded primarily from taxation. And simplicity of design promises minimal bureaucracy and low administrative costs.

This is from a group that has thought this concept through, something US politicians do not seem to be capable of.
