Training Hub
Just a general comment about navigation in the training hub: I appreciate that the layout and navigation may not be a priority at this stage, as content is still under development. However, there are some issues with the UI/UX throughout - I will add a tag "#navigation" so that all my comments on navigation throughout the courses can be collated seperately to my content comments.
Navigation on this particular page is good though - highly intuitive and clearly labelled.
I think this site is a great example of Web accessibility. It uses clear headings, descriptive linked text, and appropriate contrast to ensure readability. In addition, the content is well organized and provides resources for diverse audiences such as designers, developers and policy makers, which makes the site inclusive and highly navigable.
Inaccessible Keyboard Navigation: While I don't have much practice navigating sites with my keyboard, I found certain menus and interactive elements on here are difficult to access using only my keyboard, which I can imagine makes navigation harder for users who cannot use a mouse on the regular. Ensuring full keyboard functionality would improve usability, especially because I found it a little complex to navigate using my Tab button (however, this may be user error as I've mentioned, I don't often try to use only my keyboard for navigation).

here are badges for progress, statistics that keep users motivated, and also a clear menu that helps to navigate the application easily.
This website follows the operable principle, in that individuals with motor impairment are able to navigate the webpage without the use of a mouse by tabbing through the different elements on the webpage and the navigation bar. Additionally, this webpage does not contain any "hover interaction", which would be inaccessible to those who are unable to use a mouse.
Marking an issue as as a subtask of another. Having task lists in a description is a great start, but it doesn't help (AFAIK) navigating from child back up the chain to parent. Creating umbrella issues is a very common way to track the top-level focus areas for a release.

Persistent navigation drawers can toggle open or closed. The drawer sits on the same surface elevation as the content. Vertical navigation needs to scroll and “stick” to the screen so that users don’t lose it. Often vertical navigation works well on a single page design
The space used by vertical navigation might be more valuable for other content.
One thing is certain when it comes to navigation trends, users and designers seem to be fed up with completely hidden styles and demand options that work in similar formats on desktops and mobile devices. This might be one of the reasons a vertical pattern is trending.
The common theme is that many hamburger icons open into vertical sliding navigation.
One more word of advice when thinking about vertical navigation: Don’t be tempted to cram it too full of elements just to fill up the depth of a standard-resolution screen. White space is totally acceptable – and even highly recommended – as a design tool in this format.
Non-traditional navigation styles can be a fun way to break up some of the same old design patterns.

If you’re designing any similar type of filtering nav I definitely recommend studying Amazon’s strategy.
Amazon has dozens of categories for every search term. This means they need a way to present refined search features without overcrowding the page. Vertical navigations just make sense because they can tuck away to the side while still being fully accessible.
