The university share the finding of the research after the fact
At the University of Arizona, for example, a researcher analyzed the swipes of student ID cards at locations across campus, “to see what they reveal about students' routines and relationships, and what that means for their likelihood of returning to campus after their freshman year.”
Fact. Student ID Cards Collect Data Fact. A researcher was given access to this data for her own purposes.
The main realization came when I figured out that the main_model was just another association. This means we can move a lot of logic to just that class and reason about it a lot better.

while ActiveForm currently fits 99% of my use cases, I do sometimes make modifications based on the product requirements
Like all best practices, I think the way you will resolve a problem will depend of the application you are doing.
As with other software patterns, MVC expresses the "core of the solution" to a problem while allowing it to be adapted for each system.
An additional usecase is where we would like to update multiple records
This can be useful in cases like multistep registration. Previously in # rails we used to stick all of the validations in the class and then we're # stuck validating them all everytime

Does "evil" refer to religion? Or perhaps they meant "evil" in a more general way, as a more extreme version of "bad".
toppings on a spreadsheet sundae.🍨🍦
One of my fav toppings is to use Google Forms. Sheets is integrated completely there. In fact this is practically my only use case for google sheets so I am grateful for discussion of add-ons and other uses.

I use sheets for organizing lists of people, topics and grades, as well as managing budgets, ideas and plans.
Use case #1. How might I use it? How might others use it?
Maybe $$slots like $$props? My use case is that I'd like to wrap a slot's content in an element that applies styling that I'd like absent without the slotted content. Something like this: {#if $$slots.description} <div class="description"> <slot name="description"></slot> </div> {/if}
I want to make some add-ons or wrappers on components e.g BigButton.svelte <script> import Button from './Button.svelte' </script> <Button fz="16" h="64" {...$$props}> <slot slot="prepend" name="prepend" /> <slot /> <slot slot="append" name="append" /> </Button>
If components gain the slot attribute, then it would be possible to implement the proposed behavior of <svelte:fragment /> by creating a component that has a default slot with out any wrappers. However, I think it's still a good idea to add <svelte:fragment /> so everyone who encounters this common use case doesn't have to come up with their own slightly different solutions.
This syntax easily provides all the features of components, like let: bind: and on:. <svelte:fragment /> is just a component with a special name.
I am trying to implements this usecase (a generic lazy loader component which forwards slots/events to the "real" component).
“JSONP is JSON with extra code” would be too easy for the real world. No, you gotta have little discrepancies. What’s the fun in programming if everything just works? Turns out JSON is not a subset of JavaScript. If all you do is take a JSON object and wrap it in a function call, one day you will be bitten by strange syntax errors, like I was today.
but that doesn’t mean that confining applications is not a benefit also to FOSS applications, security is an issue that needs to be addressed with many layers of measures no mater what licensing approach you use to license the software
Text labels can be written in sentence case, as long as the button is clearly distinguishable from elements around it.
CautionText labels need to be distinct from other elements. If the text label isn’t fully capitalized, it should use a different color, style, or layout from other text.

As was mentioned in the comments above, the material design spec for buttons specifies that the text should be uppercase, but you can easily override its CSS property: paper-button { text-transform: none; }
No, this is not specified. The spec even says that contained buttons can be in sentence case
Sentence case, e.g. ‘Next section’. I use sentence case for more ‘friendly’ or ‘conversational’ platforms.
Note: Yes, it is sentence case, and yes, there should be a full stop if it was true sentence case — but for the love of all things good and designy, please don’t add a full stop.
Choose sentence case or title case over uppercase. (This being said, Material Design does use buttons with uppercase labels.)

When you do import '../scss/application.scss', you're telling webpack to include application.scss in the build. This does not mean it's going to be compiled into your javascript, only that webpack now compiles and knows how to load this file.
Not necessarily the case that importing something into a JS file means the thing being imported is also JS.

Looks like the problem is that debounce defaults to waiting for 0 ms ... which is completely useless!
It would be (and is) way to easy to omit the 2nd parameter to https://lodash.com/docs/4.17.15#debounce.
Why is that an optional param with a default value?? It should be required!
There must be some application where a delay of 0 is useless. https://www.geeksforgeeks.org/lodash-_-debounce-method/ alludes to / implies there may be a use:
When the wait time is 0 and the leading option is false, then the func call is deferred until to the next tick.
But I don't know what that use case is. For the use case / application of debouncing user input (where each character of input is delayed by at least 10 ms -- probably > 100 ms -- a delay of 0 seems utterly useless.
Without elegant ways of expressing loops/iterators (like angular does with directives), the primary way to keep JSX readable thus becomes copying and pasting.
I'm not quite sure I understand this (so until I do, I'm not sure I agree)...
Why does he think copying and pasting is the only way to make it readable? Like he pointed out, you can extract JSX snippets and use loops within JSX. But maybe he means (his previous point), that people often don't do that. Hmm.

what might be learned from the case. The answer, in part, is that prudent psychiatrists and other therapists will want to be thoughtful about how they arrange follow-up care for patients whom they can no longer see.Sometimes a general suggestion that a patient seek follow-up care will be adequate. However, as the patient's condition warrants, clinicians might choose, in ascending order of time commitment, to provide the patient with the name of a particular practitioner or facility, to contact the facility to ascertain that a clinician is willing to see the patient, to help the patient make an appointment, or, with the patient's permission, to make an appointment on the patient's behalf. In some cases, it may be appropriate to ask for the patient's permission to contact his or her family to indicate a need for follow-up and to encourage the family to make sure that follow-up takes place. But of these approaches, no specific one will always be indicated, and the degree of assistance rendered the patient should be calibrated to his or her individual needs.
What can be learned from this case?
Consider:
As a web designer, I hate that "log in" creates a visual space between the words. If you line up "Log In Register" - is that three links or two? This creates a Gestalt problem, meaning you have to really fiddle with spacing to get the word groupings right, without using pipe characters.
Sure, you can try to solve that problem by using a one-word alternative for any multi-word phrase, but that's not always possible: there isn't always a single word that can be used for every possible phrase you may have.
Adjusting the letter-spacing and margin between items in your list isn't that hard and would be better in the long run since it gives you a scalable, general solution.
"Log in" is the only correct way to spell the verb, and the only way to be consistent with 1000s of other phrasal verbs that are spelled with a space in them.
We don't need nor want an exception to the general rule just for "login" just because so many people have made that mistake.
