The person was transported to Doctor's West in critical condition.
The images accompanying the story show that the Roll-Over Protection System (ROPS) was inactive and locked in the "down" position.
These mowers are made by Excel. In the manual for my Excel mower (similar design but sold under another brand) not only do they warn of steep slopes like those shown in the photo, but they also warn to ALWAYS operate the mower with the ROPS locked in the up position except for temporarily lowering it to get under tree branches or other low-hanging obstacles.
Most of the time I see mowers equipped with ROPS, the operators have it locked in the down position.

Companies need to actually have an ethics panel, and discuss what the issues are and what the needs of the public really are. Any ethics board must include a diverse mix of people and experiences. Where possible, companies should look to publish the results of these ethics boards to help encourage public debate and to shape future policy on data use.

Deepti Gurdasani. (2022, February 9). I don’t even know what to say. There were 2.8 million people estimated to have prevalent infection in the last ONS survey. 1 in 19 people in the community in England. ~1,800 deaths/wk in the UK. Removing requirements for self-isolation will lead to preventable illness & death.🧵 [Tweet]. @dgurdasani1. https://twitter.com/dgurdasani1/status/1491426843135655936
